Economic advantages
Welds in piping systems subject to mandatory surveillance are a considerable cost factor. Here, induction-bent pipes support the objective of reducing the number of welds to the minimum. Every weld saved results in the following additional product advantages:
- no machining of welding bevels
- no welding
- no post-weld heat treatment
- no non-destructive weld testing
- no in-service inspection
- no removal and renewal of piping insulations
Construction advantages
Besides improved economy, induction-bent steel pipes offer construction advantages, as their use makes it unnecessary to carry out welding operations in tight spaces with difficult access. The availability of pipe lengths of up to 18 m with several bends or three-dimensional bends, and the associated reduction in the number of welds, open up new perspectives to the design engineer.
Our manufacturing programme also offers a variety of possibilities regarding the pipe ends, such as tangent lengths at one or either end.
